Weekly Lawn Maintenance Schedule

  • January: Happy New Year! Your yard at this time should be dormant, unless you have winter ryed your yard last year. Your yard will only get cut once this month. We also rake leaves this month as well as trim trees. If you have flower beds, you might want to have fresh mulch put down.

  • February: Spring is almost here! This month is a busy month, we are starting to scalp yards to remove the dead grass to promote a healthy start for your yard this spring. Don't for get  to fertilize this month. Sprinkler systems are on sale this month prices will go up next month.

  • March: Aerate your yard, Spring is here, everything is getting greener. Yard servicing has gone to a bi-weekly schedule. Spring flowers are the prettiest this time of year. Make sure you get some of these in your flower beds.

  • April, May, June, July, August: This is prime season. Yards now are producing thick green turfs and are grow at full potential. Most yards are cut on a weekly basis. Apply Grub X in mid August to prevent grub worms Watch out for yard diseases and treat for these problems once they are noticed.

  • September: Aerate your yard If you are wanting to have a green yard through out the winter, now would be the time to scalp your yard and plant rye grass seed ( this seed normally dies off in April ). Yards are still growing at full potential and will be cut weekly this month as well.

  • October: Aerate your yard Those cool nights sure do fell good don't they? This means your yard is slowing down on it's growth pattern. Most yards go to an every two week schedule. Are you starting to get weeds? Don't forget to fertilize this month.

  • November: Yards are now starting to slow down, everything is growing much slower. Crape Myrtles are going dormant, leaves on some trees are starting to fall. Some yards still get cut on a two week basis, and the others go to once a month service.

  • December: Merry Christmas. Thank you for being my customer through out the year. I look forward to seeing you again next year. This month, leaves are falling like crazy. Make sure your yard is in tip top shape. You don't want Santa to fall and trip on all those leaves now would you. Crape Myrtles are ready to be trimmed back for new spring growth. The canopy on your tree could also be trimmed back ( normal height should be at least 10 feet ).

  • Bushes: Trimming bushes is a sporadic service. Bushes  normally need to be trimmed about every two months.

  • Grass Installation: The best time for installing grass on your property is between the months of March and July. Be prepared to water vigorously, at least for the first two weeks.

  • Tree Trimming: This service is provided during the winter months through November and February. Crape Myrtles  are our specialty, we also trim other trees as well.

  • Keeping your spot on our schedule means you will be serviced at least once a month until spring....
