Rain
We try to finish our routes unless it is
pouring rain all day, in which case, we push the balance of the weeks schedule 1
day, utilizing Saturday to catch up for the week.
This is a strict schedule service, and we rely on you to call to skip if
you think it is too wet to mow. However, if you skip, it will be deleted &
your next mow will be on your schedule, so the grass will get tall which will
create more problems, so we urge you to let us mow it wet.
Bi-Weekly
and Monthly Cuts
Bi-weekly mowing schedules are available at $5 per trip more
than weekly. Please be advised that most yards will not look their best
(in season) with less than weekly service, if you decide to go with monthly
service you need to cut the yard at least once yourself if the yard hasn't been
cut by the homeowner the price will double from original quote with a $10.00
bagging fee.
Gates
Gates must be at least 36 inches
across to be able to fit equipment thru. If you lock your gate, it must have a
combination lock or we must have a key for us to service your property. We
are very careful about locking and closing gates, but we do not guarantee that a
pet will not escape from the yard, therefore, you accept our service with this
provision.
Payments
We accept Cash, Checks, and
Credit/Debit cards. Credit/Debit cards are paid here on this website ( just
click on the logo )
Cancellations
There is no obligation on either
party to begin or continue service. "You like us" & "We like
you" makes for a mutually beneficial relationship. If we cancel you,
the weekly or bi-weekly rate will apply. If you sign up as a customer, we
consider you a customer from season to season until you cancel. We do have
customers that have been with us from the beginning. That's about 9 years. We are
human and we do make mistakes like every other lawn company in the world.
Smart Home Services is much more than a business
it's a relationship with your landscaper ! ! We would not have as many
long term customers if there was no relationship between us and the customer.
Reasons we will cancel our
service:
- Your yard takes 1st place in jungle
gazette for the worst lawn ever.
- Your yard is infested with crabgrass such as Jonston grass or Dallis
grass. We try to provide excellent service to our existing so we won't cut
your because we don't want to take the chance of spreading those seeds to our
other customers, and we don't want to have to wash our machines each time we
cut your infested yard. If your a new customer and we arrive to cut your yard
and your lawn is infested. We will just keep driving.
- If you just want lawn service and won't ever fertilize or water your
yard to keep it in good shape, we will drop you. We don't cut dust bowls...We
don't expect your yard to be perfect we just want you to want it to be
perfect.
- We cut on a weekly and bi-weekly basis so we can't come out and cut
every 3 to 4 weeks to provide service ( except for the winter when grass is
growing slow or dormant )
- We are a full service landscape and maintenance company so if you use
us for your lawn maintenance and call another company for fertilizing then
another company for tree trimming that just like slapping me in the face. I am
ok with the home owner doing extra work on the around the yard, we are just
here to help.
- We are confidential on matters about things you decide to grow in you
back yard such as Vitex,
Texas. Star Hibiscus,
Japanese maples,
Cleome,
Cinquefoil,
Dizygotheca ect.
Being a Smart Home Service customer means I'll try and give you the best
price on all services I provide and install it with the same care I give my own
yard. What sums up Smart Home Services is I want to treat your yard exactly the
same way I treat my yard, my yard is green 365 days a year and I don't even
expect your yard to be green like that. We just want to maintain your yard
during March thru November and then service you once a month during the winter
with a dethatching and scalp by March 15th with the basic fertilizing
necessary to grow your lawn to it's full potential.
